In response to the demands of the industry and focused on application-oriented talent cultivation, our school has established a talent cultivation mechanism characterized by "oriented towards industry needs, deep cooperation with enterprises, sophisticated core courses, and agile professional directions." We've joined hands with the global internet industry leader, Google, to establish a professional direction for "Mobile Internet Application Development" at the leading domestic construction level. We have undertaken 140 national and provincial-level teaching construction and reform projects, won 1 national teaching achievement award, two national top-tier undergraduate courses, one runner-up award in the first national textbook construction award, five provincial-level teaching achievement awards, four provincial outstanding textbook awards, and six first-batch new-type textbooks in provincial general colleges during the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan." The school values cultivating and improving students' practical innovation capabilities and vigorously promotes innovative activities such as subject competitions and scientific research training, and the results are significant. Our students have won over 400 awards in international and national subject competitions and over 60 national undergraduate innovation and entrepreneurship training plans. Notably, they have won 6 gold and 24 silver awards in the ACM/ICPC Asia Regional Contest, two special nomination awards, and 19 first-prize awards in the International Mathematical Contest in Modeling. Education Programmes Computer Science and Technology This major is a national-level, first-rate undergraduate program. Emphasizing national and regional economic and social development, we focus on cultivating high-quality application-oriented and compound talents who are well-rounded in moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor education, have a strong sense of social responsibility, and solid fundamentals. We aim to foster students with sound engineering and professional ethics, comprehensive theoretical knowledge of computer science, and the ability to solve practical problems with formal sciences. Graduates will be competent in system development, algorithm design, technical application, and system administration in computer science and technology and its related disciplines. Software Engineering Software engineering is a provincial first-class undergraduate program and the main supporting program of the school's first provincial key construction modern industry college - "Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Computing Industry College." Through multi-party collaboration with leading enterprises such as Dawning Information Industry Co., Ltd., research institutes, and the "Photosynthetic Organization" industry alliance, we cultivate talents in an integrated education-research-training-innovation-production model with the mainline of software technology. The major closely links the national software industry strategic development and local economic development requirements, which includes three sub-fields: large-scale enterprise software development, intelligent system application, and cyberspace security. Applied Statistics Aimed at the big data industry and fintech field, Applied Statistics emphasizes the intersection of multiple disciplines such as mathematics, statistics, finance, and computer science. It adopts a "211" training model - 2 years of foundation, one year of specialized direction, and one year of comprehensive practice. Alongside university-enterprise joint training mechanisms, the program's primary strategy is data analysis talent cultivation. Its characteristic lies in fostering quantitative investment talent. It offers distinctive modules such as the basics of programmatic trading, quantitative investment, modern portfolio theory and analysis, statistical machine learning, Bayesian statistics, data mining technology and application, big data visualization techniques, etc. The training focuses on statistical thinking, data analysis technology, and practical applications to meet the needs of high-level statistical talents in the digital age. Research Centers High-Performance Intelligent Computing Research Center for Ultra-Large-Scale Graph Data The research center commits to studying core technologies and application directions, such as urban multimodal data fusion perception, real-time calculation of ultra-large-scale urban spatiotemporal data, ultra-large-scale city safety risk graph, city safety risk prediction, and city safety governance applications. The center conducts strategic, innovative, industrialized engineering technology-coordinated research for real-time urban safety management. Intelligent Culture Computation Research Center Aiming at the significant needs of national cultural big data, the research center focuses on frontier theoretical research and technical R&D in cultural computation. It researches national key cultural projects such as digital artifacts, cultural big data, large cultural models, and cultural overseas projects. The center establishes the paradigm for big data mining and analysis of Chinese traditional culture by using data mining, digital twin, visual analysis, and other methods. The center researches intelligent cultural computation theory and modeling, intelligent analysis of cultural big data, transformation and utilization of cultural big data, and four levels of typical cases. It provides a new set of tools for the digital analysis of traditional Chinese culture, opens up a new perspective for quantitative research in the humanities and social sciences, and realizes an essential leap from the digitalization of cultural relics to cultural digitization. Intelligent Plant Factory Engineering Research Center of Zhejiang Province The research center aims to use artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, advanced manufacturing technology, and equipment to achieve a precision-controlled, intensive, intelligent production model for superior crop quality. The goal is to increase yield, improve quality, produce green, and reduce emissions and carbon fixation. Intelligent Internet of Things Technologies and Systems International Science and Technology Collaboration Base of Zhejiang Province The base is committed to promoting innovation in Intelligent Internet of Things technology and systems, expanding the breadth and depth of applications, and empowering the digital agriculture and innovative medical development fields. The team has a core research team of 40 members, including 12 overseas experts, two academicians from developed countries, 6 IEEE/IET Fellows, and three scholars from the world's top 100 universities. Industrial College The Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Computing Industrial College was established in April 2021 and is jointly built by HZCU (Hangzhou City University ) and Dawning Information Industry Co., Ltd. By relying on the "Horizon Industry Cooperation Ecosystem" alliance, it integrates more advantageous resources. It was approved as provincial key support for modern industry colleges in 2023.
